The Sid Youth 

We are working in partnership with the Y.M.C.A to deliver the Next Gen project. Next Gen is a free, monthly youth group offering young people (aged 11-25) an informal space to meet other local young people, and take part in fun activities whilst getting their voices heard and influencing local decision making.

Each month we put on a different fun activity for young people to get involved in, alongside our youth voice activities and there’s always food for young people to tuck into.

​

Over the course of the year, we’re going to be making space for young people to share their views on the issues affecting them, including Mental Health, Knife Crime and the Environment.

​

The Sid Youth helps in both delivery and planning. The sessions began at the Youth Hub but now take place at The Sidney Walter centre and is also used as our youth forum.

​

To date we are averaging 10 young people at each session.
